Entrepreneurship is no joke. And it’s definitely not for the faint of heart.
Many people dream of being their own boss and running their own business. All of those aspirations are laudable. But dreaming can only take you so far.
With regards to entrepreneurship, people see the fancy cars, the big money rolling in, the expensive vacations, and high-class dining that successful entrepreneurs partake in. But what they don’t see are the many sacrifices that entrepreneurs have to make to reach that level.
Many of the sacrifices come in the form of ditching unproductive friends, embracing a minimalist lifestyle to lower costs, putting in 80+ hour work weeks, and having a diminished social life. When most people see this, they instantly back off and head back to the comfortable confines of a normal desk job.
But for those who are up for the challenge and desire genuine financial freedom, they see the initial costs of entrepreneurship as just one leg of the journey. With enough time and dedication, things will eventually calm down and become more relaxed. But to reach that point, one must never give up and continue grinding away.
Entrepreneurship is definitely not for everyone. It’s for those who are ready to learn, take decisive action, and make sacrifices. If you’re not willing to do that, enjoy slaving away for a woke corporation.
